Credit Desk Strat (Quant Analyst)

Our Quantitative Analyst (QA) – Credit Flow team is looking for a talented and pragmatic individual to join a high-impact group working at the intersection of trading and technology. Youll be joining a dynamic and collaborative team embedded within the Credit Trading business. We work directly with traders to develop and support tools, conduct quantitative analysis, and drive strategic infrastructure enhancements. The Quant Desk Strat role sits within the Flow Credit division — focusing on liquid, traditional credit trading products — and offers strong exposure to real trading desk challenges and decision-making.

Essential Skills:

Strong programming skills, especially in Python.Keen to work closely with traders, solve real-business problems and own solutions end-to-end.Interest in financial mathematics, preferably with financial services experience.Hands-on, pragmatic approach – willing to work in Excel and legacy environments initially.

Desirable Skills:

Understanding of object-oriented design and writing clean, scalable code. Prior exposure to financial markets or trading environments.Interest in learning and building complete tools, not just backend models..NET (C#), Excel, VBA experience.

This role is based in London.

Purpose of the role

To provide quantitative and analytical expertise to support trading strategies, risk management, and decision-making within the investment banking domain, applying quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, and technology to optimise trading and investment opportunities.

Accountabilities

Development and implementation of quantitative models and strategies to derive insight into market trends and optimize trading decisions, pricing, and risk management across various financial products and markets.Working closely with sales teams to identify clients' needs and develop customised solutions.In-depth research, data analysis, and statistical modelling to derive insights into market trends, pricing, and risk dynamics.Provide front office infrastructure support though ownership and maintenance of analytical libraries.Provision of expertise on quantitative methodologies, technological advancements, and industry best practices to drive innovation within the trading environment.
