About You
The Curriculum Development & Delivery Manager will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining a robust Careers First curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our student body and subject areas. As part of our leading Careers & Student Enterprise Team (CaSE), this role will drive the continuous development of digital Career Development Pathways within our flagship employability module, Mental Wealth and Professional Fitness, while ensuring alignment with the Annual Graduate Employability Action Plan. Building on existing work, the postholder will collaborate with the Quality Assurance Team and the Centre for Excellence in Learning & Teaching (CELT) to ensure that integrated employability assessments are rigorous, consistent, and aligned with institutional policies.
Serving as the principal liaison between CaSE and academic schools, they will ensure that in-curriculum and co-curricular programmes are complementary, impactful, and strategically aligned with the goal of enhancing students' career readiness. Working closely with CaSE Management and Academic Schools, they will develop operational processes to drive meaningful student engagement with Career Zone across all disciplines while overseeing the coordination and planning of a cross-service schedule in partnership with academic schools.
The postholder will lead the development of innovative pedagogical approaches to enhance careers content and delivery, acting as a subject matter expert by continuously developing their own practice and supporting teams within CaSE to do the same. They will also spearhead a cross-service peer review and quality assurance process, ensuring that careers education delivery is high-quality, impactful, and aligned with best practices.
Additionally, they will work closely with Senior Leadership to operationally lead an ambitious review of Mental Wealth and Professional Fitness, engaging in consultation with students, staff, and industry to develop a new Mental Wealth Framework. In collaboration with key stakeholders, they will contribute to shaping the development of a Careers First curriculum across the institution. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in career development within a higher education setting, a deep understanding of curriculum-integrated employability, and expertise in pedagogical best practices.
They must demonstrate strong leadership and project management skills, the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and a proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. About the Job
As the Curriculum Development & Delivery Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Careers First curriculum. You will work closely with academic schools, quality assurance teams, and teaching experts to ensure that employability is embedded seamlessly within our courses and that all students have access to high-quality career development pathways.
This role will also oversee the strategic review of our Mental Wealth & Professional Fitness module, ensuring it remains relevant, impactful, and aligned with institutional priorities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Curriculum Design and Development
Oversee the development and delivery of Career Development Pathways within Mental Wealth & Professional Fitness Modules.Lead the institutional review and enhancement of the Mental Wealth & Professional Fitness curriculum.Ensure alignment with university policies and collaborate with key internal stakeholders.Academic Engagement
Develop strong partnerships with academic schools to integrate employability within subject areas.Work consultatively with academics to design and enhance careers-focused pedagogy.Align CaSE initiatives with school and department-level career development needs.Project Management
Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to drive impactful career development initiatives.Service Evaluation and Improvement
Implement operational systems to streamline delivery bookings and service management.Use data-driven insights to assess and enhance curriculum effectiveness.Professional Standards & Quality Assurance
Foster a culture of continuous professional development within CaSE.Ensure curriculum content meets quality standards, accessibility requirements, and best practices.Lead the development of a robust quality assurance framework.Other Duties
