Personal Development: We will provide an environment for you to learn and develop, with access to resources and support to help you grow both professionally and personally About your role: British Gas Business is seeking a dedicated Data Fluency Manager to lead the charge in promoting data fluency, encouraging data-driven decision-making, and ensuring that data is valued as a strategic asset across our business units. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with BGB's business units to embed data practices and mindsets, driving a culture where data is at the heart of our strategic initiatives. If you are an advocate for data excellence and thrive on enabling teams to harness the power of data, we want you on our team. Key aspects of this role are: Data Fluency Programs: Drive data fluency programs to empower colleagues in interpreting data safely and effectively, enhancing decision-making quality. Cultural Change Initiatives: Lead efforts to promote a data-driven culture, fostering the use of data in all decision-making processes. Best Practices: Unite business stakeholders to share best practices, demonstrating how data and analytics support decision-making and generate business value. Data Storytelling: Provide guidance on presenting complex data as impactful, easy-to-understand stories to influence specific audiences. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across BGB to understand their data needs and promote best data practices. Training and Workshops: Organise and conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance data skills and knowledge. Communication: Advocate the value of data and data-driven insights through various channels, including newsletters, presentations, and internal forums. Measurement and Feedback: Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of data culture initiatives and gather feedback for continuous improvement. Here's what we’re looking for: Proven experience in driving data culture change and engaging stakeholders effectively. In-depth knowledge of data management principles and best practices. Skilled and experienced in facilitating training programs to enhance data fluency. Exceptional communication and presentation abilities. Proficient in using data visualisation tools and data analytics platforms. A strong understanding of data fluency dimensions, data management, and data analytics.
