Lloyd are seeking to recruit a Data Service Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management, and performance of data run and service operations. This role ensures high-quality data delivery, operational efficiency, and complianceâwhile acting as the primary interface between internal teams and outsourced data operations partner/s. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with leadership and vendor management skills to drive data operations excellence across the organisation. Principal Accountabilities: Data Operations Leadership Lead and coordinate internal and external data operations activities, predominantly cross legacy platforms, and calendar events across all domains, including transformation, quality assurance, and distribution. Ensure data pipelines, platforms and workflows are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business requirements Ensure Data Operations activities meet all business and regulatory deadlines. Monitor and optimize data workflows to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence Outsourced Partner Oversight Manage the relationship with outsourced data operations team , ensuring service levels, performance, and compliance. Act as the primary conduit between internal stakeholders and external partners for data issue and incident resolution and recovery (where incident are privacy related support privacy Leads as needed) change requests, and service improvements. Conduct regular reviews, performance assessments, and escalation management with vendors Data Management Implement and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices as set out by the Data & AI team. Oversee the running of the Data Platform ensuring SLAs are met with dotted line into the Data & AI Director. Oversee data quality monitoring and remediation processes working with the Data Governance Manager. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA) and internal controls. Technical Enablement Assist in identification, resolution, and response to all data incidents. Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, and analytics teams to support platform enhancements and automation. Work closely with the Data Team to Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency and data reliability. Support integration of new data sources and systems into the enterprise data ârunâ ecosystem. Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with business functions to understand data needs and ensure timely, accurate delivery. Assist in translating business requirements into operational data solutions. Provide clear communication and reporting on data operations performance and initiatives. Skills Knowledge and Experience Proven experience in data operations, data management, or data engineering leadership roles. Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data platforms, and cloud technologies. Experience managing outsourced or offshore data operations teams. Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance standards.. Management knowledge and general understanding of the IT infrastructure and service environments and end user technology used within the organisation. Microsoft software stack (O365, SharePoint, Windows 10, Teams, etc.). Public Cloud (Azure, AWS) Knowledge and expertise in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL v4) framework and processes, with a focus on Incident & Problem management and Change, release & configuration management Experience of a working in a customer responsible role within a corporate environment Experience in managing third-party supplier relationships and associated agreements Supplier/Vendor management.
