Lead and manage teams responsiblefor raising and collecting sundry debt, council house and garage rents, council tax and recovering overpaid housing benefits.Oversee benefit checks, debt advice, and budgeting support to residents.handling post-liability order council tax debt.Recruit, develop, manage, and motivate team members.Develop and implement annual service plans.Develop and implement effective debt recovery strategies and procedural best practices.Provide advice and guidance on operational issues or projects.Manage relationships with stakeholders to collaboratively plan and deliver services.Manage, control, and report on allocated budgets and monitor and report on debt collection performance.Identify and recommend improvements to enhance service effectiveness and efficiencyWork collaboratively with other departments to resolve debt-related issues.ARE YOU SOMEONE WHO HAS
A relevant degree or equivalent experience in debt management or a related field.Proven experience in debt management or a related field.Strong knowledge of debt recovery processes and legislation.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Understanding of Directorate objectives and Council strategies.Proven leadership in managing teams and large projects.Ability to lead, plan, and develop operational teams, with strong organisational and time management skillsStrong relationship-building skills with service users, colleagues, and stakeholders.Budget and financial management skills
