We are seeking an experienced EHS professional to take a lead role in ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across our operational footprint. This role is critical in aligning site teams with business objectives, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a positive safety culture. You will provide expert guidance on legal requirements, manage improvement plans, and represent the business in key EHS forums nationally and internationally.

What you’ll do:

Lead all operational EHS matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and corporate standards. Promote a Zero Harm culture through visible leadership and behavioural safety initiatives. Develop and maintain EHS improvement plans, incorporating audit findings and risk priorities. Act as the main EHS contact for UK Safety Council meetings and external bodies (HSE, EA, insurers). Support operational management with legal compliance and audit readiness. Plan and implement internal and external audits, including management system and legal compliance. Monitor EHS data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Manage EHS budgets and contribute to performance plans and strategic projects. Lead EHS team meetings locally, nationally, and regionally to share best practices. Ensure high-quality incident investigations and timely completion of corrective actions. Communicate legislative changes and corporate standards, ensuring business alignment. Support environmental governance and sustainability initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

Strong knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation and compliance. Proven experience in an EHS leadership role within manufacturing or industrial operations. Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Experience managing audits, improvement plans, and EHS budgets. Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative approach. Strong analytical skills to interpret EHS data and identify trends. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification Experience in environmental governance and sustainability initiatives. Willingness to attend regional and international meetings as required.
