Join our Estates team at Queens Hospital Romford,where youll play a key role in maintaining and improving essential electricalsystems that support patient care.What youll doSafely operate and maintain a wide range of electrical plant and equipment across the hospital.Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory inspections, and reactive repairs in line with Sodexo and NHS Trust standards.Diagnose and repair complex faults across electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, nurse call, HVAC, access control, and standby generator systems.Provide technical advice, liaise with contractors and suppliers, and ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and IET regulations.Use Sodexos CAFM system to manage work orders and maintain accurate records.Contribute to the on-call rota, providing emergency support 24/7 as part of a dedicated engineering team.What were looking forCompletion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship or structured training programme.City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualifications in Electrical Engineering.Proven experience in a maintenance environment (hospital or healthcare experience desirable).Sound understanding of electrical systems, statutory compliance, and Health & Safety legislation.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Willingness to undertake specialist training (e.g. Authorised Person – LV).Why join Sodexo at Queens Hospital?At Sodexo, youll bepart of a trusted team delivering high-quality facilities management in acritical healthcare setting.
