If so; we are looking for an experienced learning and development professional with practical experience of successfully designing and delivering engaging, learning and development tools and interventions to a range of management and leadership levels.

About Us

As a world-leading, research-intensive university, with a strong and high-quality educational offering, we are renowned for our innovation and enterprise and sit within the top 1% of universities worldwide.

Our people are our University; they are at the heart of everything we do and the impact we make on a local to global scale. We strive for greater inclusivity in our community, as diversity is a strength.

About the role

It is an exciting time to join our team and be one of five Employee Development Advisers, as we are currently redesigning our training offer for all staff groups at the University.

You will be involved in sourcing and designing various training options such as just in time self-led learning and active learning workshops. You will also facilitate a range of development activities with a mix of online and face to face delivery. Working collaboratively with other team members you will provide guidance and share best practice to ensure the most effective training solutions are developed.

About You

You will have proven experience of developing both online and face to face interactive learning solutions. You will be confident in facilitating both virtual and in person workshops.

Your flexible style and “can do attitude” will enable you to build relationships quickly with internal stakeholders to; understand their requirements, recommend the most appropriate intervention, and develop innovative, effective, and accessible learning solutions that meets the needs of a diverse community.

What we can offer you

As a university we aim to create an environment where everyone can thrive and are proactive in fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity. We believe that we can only truly meet our objectives if we are reflective of society, so we are passionate about creating a working environment in which you are free to bring your whole self to work. We welcome applications from candidates who are committed to helping us create an inclusive work environment.

Based at our lively Highfield campus, you will have access to our sports complex, and lots of social and green spaces. Committed to supporting our staff, we are open to a flexible working approach with a mix of home and office working. We consider applicants that wish to work flexibly and those who have taken a career break.

As well as additional benefits that will make your life easier, such as a generous holiday allowance (44 days including bank holidays and closure days), we will support your long-term future too, with access to the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS)*, subsidised health and fitness facilities and a range of discounts.
