About the role

We have an exciting opportunity within the Centre for Graduate Prospects for an Entrepreneurial Development Co-Ordinator, working within our Entrepreneurial Development Team. The Centre for Graduate Prospects advances graduate success through teaching excellence and the post-holder will support the embedding of employability and enterprise across the University of Sunderland. The role is key to supporting the creation of confident and motivated students who develop into professional, adaptable, and engaged graduates with rich and rewarding life and career prospects, by ensuring that:

•              All students understand and develop entrepreneurial and innovation skills in an inclusive way, supporting students from underrepresented, marginalised and excluded groups.

•               Coaching, guidance and supported learning by doing is provided to help individuals and teams develop and turn their ideas into viable projects that add value to others.

•               Students and graduates are supported to develop entrepreneurial skills based on innovative ideas that have the potential to create new businesses or improve existing ones.

Whilst this role is full time, we would consider applications from candidates looking for a part time opportunity. The role is a fixed term maternity cover.

What you can bring 

The successful applicant will be enterprising and have a continuous improvement mindset. You will have demonstrable experience of providing one-to-one coaching, advice and support, as well as delivering and evaluating group workshops and simulations. You will also have experience of researching, developing and designing appropriate materials and learning experiences with identified outcomes.
