Job Description:
Support Worker/Befriender
Great Lumley, Chester-le-Street
Support Worker/Befriender required to support a young man with autism and poor communication skills to access social and sporting/exercise activities.
Hours/wages
5-8 hours per week, usually worked as 1 session, could be weekday or weekend.
Hourly rate of pay: £12:00 (to be reviewed April 25).
Duties
Support the young man to access a variety of activities such as swimming, gym, climbing, trampolining and other social events including café’s, films etc.Encourage him to be independent and to engage with others appropriatelyEssential

Enhanced DBS will be required; however, this will be paid for by the employer
