Job Opportunity: Finance Analyst - Record to Report at HEINEKEN UK

Are you a part-qualified accountant seeking a dynamic role within a globally recognized company? HEINEKEN UK is offering an exciting permanent opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join their Reporting & Accounting team in their Edinburgh St Andrew’s Square office. This position offers a hybrid working model, blending office-based collaboration with the flexibility of remote work, and comes with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Advantages for Candidates:

  • Career Development in a Renowned Organization: Joining HEINEKEN UK presents a chance to grow your career within a leading global brewer, known for its iconic brands and commitment to innovation. This role offers exposure to core financial responsibilities within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
  • Significant ERP Transformation Experience: This role is intrinsically linked to HEINEKEN's Global Digital Backbone project, specifically the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system changeover. Candidates will gain invaluable, hands-on experience in data integrity, migration readiness, and supporting a major system implementation – a highly sought-after skill set in today's market.
  • Broad Stakeholder Engagement: You will act as a key liaison, not only with the shared service centre in Krakow but also with various internal teams including Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Legal, Process Control and Improvement, Internal Audit, and Digital and Technology. This breadth of interaction will significantly enhance your business partnering and communication skills.
  • Hybrid Working Flexibility: The role embraces a hybrid working framework, requiring a minimum of three days in the office (Tuesdays and Thursdays are fixed, with the third day chosen by the employee), allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Beyond a competitive salary of circa £37,000, HEINEKEN UK offers a robust benefits package including company-funded Private Medical Healthcare, an Annual Bonus, a generous Double Matched Pension (up to 10%), 35 days of holiday (pro-rata), and a flexible benefits platform with retail discounts. You'll even receive a monthly allowance to enjoy HEINEKEN's delicious beverages.
  • Involvement in Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives: Opportunity to participate in colleague networks focused on diversity and inclusion, contributing to HEINEKEN UK's commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.

Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

  • Part-Qualified Accountant Focus: While the role welcomes new graduates, it is specifically for a part-qualified accountant. It's important to note that at present, financial support for professional exams is not provided. Candidates should be self-funded or already have the necessary qualifications in progress.
  • Emphasis on Core Accounting Skills: The role requires a solid foundation in period-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and familiarity with IFRS or UK GAAP/FRS 101 accounting standards. Experience liaising with external auditors is also crucial.
  • Analytical and Proactive Mindset: HEINEKEN UK is looking for individuals with excellent analytical skills, an enquiring mindset, and a motivation for continuous process and control improvement. The ability to challenge the status quo is highly valued.
  • Advanced Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and large data manipulation are essential for success in this role.
  • Beneficial, but Not Essential, Skills: While not mandatory, experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Business Central), involvement in prior system migrations or implementations, and familiarity with data governance principles would be advantageous. Experience within the FMCG sector or a large organization is also preferable.
  • Application Closing Date: Please be aware that the closing date for applications is December 15th, 2025. However, vacancies may be closed earlier if a significant number of applications are received. Early application is encouraged.
