About the Role: A Strategic Partnership in Financial Operations

This role offers an exciting fixed-term contract of up to 12 months, presenting a valuable opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the financial operations for Reckitt's Corporate Headquarters (CHQ) entities. You will be at the forefront of crucial financial activities, including:

  • Management and External Reporting: Spearheading the delivery of accurate financial statements and disclosures.
  • Statutory Compliance and Governance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and internal control standards.
  • Audit Management: Overseeing external audits, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating closely with senior management across Global functions such as FP&A, Tax, and Treasury.

This position demands strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and excellent stakeholder management skills. It's an ideal role for someone looking to deepen their experience within a successful FTSE 20 company and gain exposure to high-level financial operations.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

As a key member of the Finance team, your contributions will be vital to the smooth functioning of CHQ entities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing month-end closing tasks and reporting deliverables.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all company policies and internal controls.
  • Partnering with Global Finance Services to optimize outsourced tasks.
  • Leading the preparation and review of statutory accounts for CHQ entities.
  • Managing external audit processes for timely and efficient completion.
  • Supporting external reporting requirements, particularly disclosures related to CHQ entities.
  • Collaborating with the Transfer Pricing team to ensure timely implementation of operating model changes.
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Managing financial controls, reconciliations, and risk management processes.
  • Driving continuous improvement and efficiency in CHQ entity reporting.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for junior team members.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating compliance and control risks in coordination with other teams.

Your success will be measured by the timely and accurate delivery of statutory accounts, smooth completion of external audits, strong collaborative partnerships with key departments, a robust internal control environment, and demonstrable improvements in reporting processes and team development.

What We're Looking For: Experience and Skills for Success

  • Technical Accounting Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP is essential.

  • Analytical Prowess: Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills are crucial for data interpretation and problem-solving.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with Treasury, Tax, and Consolidation functions is highly desirable.
  • Professional Qualification: ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification (or equivalent) is required.
  • Post-Qualification Experience: Significant experience in finance, preferably within multinational corporate or financial services entities.

The ability to improve business processes and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial systems will be key to excelling in this role.
