The role

As a Finance Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a vital role in supporting our Head of Finance across a business area that underpins some of the UK’s most important defence programmes. This is an opportunity to develop your career at the heart of a fast‑paced environment where your insights will influence strategic decisions, enhance financial performance, and contribute directly to operational success.

Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:

Deliver accurate and timely labour reporting, modelling and forecasting. Provide financial data and analysis to both internal stakeholders and external auditors. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes. Support customer reporting and ensure data integrity for key submissions. Collaborate across finance and operational teams to improve service delivery.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Finance Manager

Significant experience using Power Query. Experience producing financial reports and analysis. Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly. Experience working with internal and external stakeholders. Strong understanding of financial controls and audit processes.

Qualifications for the Finance Manager

Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Training or experience in financial modelling or process automation tools – Desirable

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
