Why not join the University of Brighton as a Finance Systems Officer and play a key role in ensuring our systems deliver at their best. We are seeking a proactive individual to work in our busy helpdesk function in the Finance department. The helpdesk is responsible for responding to queries from system users, and, in conjunction with colleagues from our Information Services department, maintaining the integrity of the finance system, implementing system upgrades, and testing interfaces to other IT systems.
The main responsibilities of this role are as follows
Working with the team to maintain the University's core financial system, eFinancialsResolving queries from users of the systemDeveloping training materials and the provision of training to new userTo be able to provide these services you will need to have good knowledge of how a financial system operates within a medium to large organisation, and strong communication skills to be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner to non-financial professionals
In return, the University offers a generous pension scheme and annual leave package which starts at 25 days as well as additional leave over the Christmas period.
The University operates an agile working policy which would extend to this role. This would mean that the post holder could possibly work up to 60% from home and 40% from the workplace.
