Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

  • Core Accounting Responsibilities: This role encompasses a broad range of financial accounting duties, including AP ledger management, cash management, debt service payments, purchase order processing, and supporting AR operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Expect to be involved in month-end close processes, producing management accounts, performing variance analysis, and supporting budget/forecast preparation. Your input will directly contribute to key financial reporting for senior management and JV partners.
  • Continuous Improvement Focus: A significant aspect of this position is identifying and implementing process improvements, particularly in month-end closing and management reporting, offering a chance to add tangible value.
  • Auditor Interaction: You will serve as a point of contact for auditors, requiring clear communication and timely resolution of queries.
  • Tax Involvement: Gain experience in preparing VAT returns and supporting annual corporate tax compliance processes.
  • Essential Skills: Strong accounting knowledge, excellent Excel and MS Office proficiency, and solid communication and teamwork skills are essential. Experience with financial modelling is a distinct advantage.
  • Desirable Experience: While not mandatory, experience with accounting software like Sun Systems or Hyperion, familiarity with the leasing or aviation industry, and experience in designing/implementing new systems and processes would be highly beneficial.
