We have an exciting opportunity to join #TeamEMR as a Fleet Resource Planner.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused individual to allocate and produce rosters that meet the needs of our Fleet Depots. You will play a key role in ensuring our rosters are efficient, cost-effective and aligned with budgetary requirements. Reporting directly to the Fleet Planning Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining agreed minimum manning levels to support daily fleet and operational delivery. You will also ensure all rosters are fully compliant with the relevant terms and conditions for collectively bargained fleet grades.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensure Fleet Depot rosters are produced in accordance with East Midlands Railway safety standards, business conditions, local agreements and Fatigue & Risk procedures.Deliver a consistently high standard of rostering, ensuring resources are allocated within agreed deadlines.Maintain the Crew Plan system, keeping staff details, skill profiles and depot base rosters accurate and up to date.Monitor annual leave levels and provide timely, proactive reports on utilisation.Identify and present opportunities for roster optimisation wherever possible.Produce KPIs relating to depot overtime, fatigue and minimum manning breaches, as required by the Fleet Planning Manager.Work closely with Fleet Depot Managers and support the coordination of releases and training.Collaborate with the Fleet Depot and Production Managers to optimise rosters in response to operational events and possessions.Manage and deliver objectives and projects as directed by the Fleet Planning Manager to support the business plan and functional goals.Contribute as a key member of the Fleet Production and Planning, providing support where needed.Who we’re looking for
Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent) with strong evidence of applied experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of audiences.Experienced in systematic problem-solving and able to work methodically under pressure.Confident in analysing data and implementing improvements based on insights.Strong knowledge of EMR railway routes and operations is desirableAs well as a competitive salary, we’ll also offer you:
