Job Description JOB TITLE: Head of Resilience & Security LOCATION(S): Manchester, Leeds, Newport/ Cardiff, Chester or London SALARY: From £124,653 for non London based colleagues. From £144,424 for London based colleagues. HOURS: Full time WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site About the role Leading a brilliant team of experts in the field, the Head of Resilience & Security plays a key role in safeguarding our customers, Consumer Lending, and the wider Group. Responsible for Resilience & Security for the Consumer Lending business at Lloyds Banking Group, this role includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing risk management strategies, and maintaining the integrity of lending processes; collaborating closely with teams across the business unit and LBG to enhance control measures and mitigate risks. The role holder will lead all aspects of defining and implementing our resilience & security plan, operational structures, and more. We're seeking an outstanding leader with excellent expertise in resilience, security, risk and controls. What you'll be doing Leading a team of c85 colleagues, who provide SME advice and guidance to our business in order to reduce our exposure to resilience and security threats, improve risk mitigation and support colleague education and awareness. Assisting in developing effective resilience & security strategies & plans, and in running risks and controls, working closely with the Consumer Lending Business Resilience & Security Officer (BRSO). Responsibility for leading high priority resilience & security initiatives, working with central teams and supporting security investment decisions in support of the BRSO. Incident management across Consumer Lending, which involves the preparation for, response to, and review of incidents and providing an in-and-out of hours incident support service to the business, coordinating with Group Incident Management and other business areas. Security - raising security issues, collaborating with business areas on the latest security developments, and supporting the wider cascade of security intelligence. Access Management Centre of Excellence - ensuring Consumer Lending aligns with Sarbanes Oxley access management requirements, providing a high-quality application management service to all business areas. Data Privacy - support the business on all data privacy, records management, structured and unstructured data matters. Collaboration with the Chief Controls Office team to identify and address potential risks, providing guidance and support to the Consumer Lending team on control-related matters. What you’ll need Given the level of responsibility of this role, all candidates must have a background in financial services, have effectively led large teams, and have significant experience in a senior resilience, security, risk and control role. Communication & Influence: Delivers clear messages tailored to different teams, fostering interest and dedication. Secures support through compelling arguments and upbeat advocacy. Collaboration & Policy Development: Promotes open communication and integrates diverse perspectives to achieve goals. Develops and coordinates policies and procedures. Risk Management & Business Insight: Identifies, assesses, and leads risk management efforts. Uses industry knowledge to make informed decisions. Accountability & Navigating Ambiguity: Ensures commitments are met and champions change, finding opportunities in uncertain situations.
