The Head of Buyers is a Senior role reporting to the MD UK and responsible for the overall vision and strategy for the plans to develop and expand the High Valuer Visitor (HVV) offering for the UK Hub. The Head of Buyers is responsible for a centralised team of Buyer Account Manager and Buyer Executives. This team also has internationally located team members. The Head of Buyers will be responsible for designing and executing a HVB strategy for the RXUK hub that will develop ways to deliver and capture value in our existing Buyer driven shows and review how to extend the HVB programmes across the B2B shows. Furthermore, the Head of Buyers will look to reduce the level of âHostingâ and work to build out best in class meeting scheduling and ultimately matchmaking technologies. The Head of Hosted Buyer has ultimate responsibility for the value proposition, value delivery and value capture of our Hosted buyer product and acts as the source of knowledge to the rest of the business, and to the broader market. Section 2: Job Responsibilities % of Time Key Accountabilities Strategy 20% Strategy and Direction Contributing to the development, communication and promotion of corporate core purpose, vision, mission and values of RELX and RX Developing, communicating and promoting the core Value Propositions of the Buyer offering and championing the role of the Buyer within RX, RELX and the broader market and customer bases. Contributing to the development, communication and promotion of core purpose, vision, mission and values of each of the Buyer programs within the portfolio and inputting into show strategies and Event Value Plans Contributing to the commercial strategy and direction of the RX UK hub portfolio team strategy and commercial plans. Ensuring the support and delivery of the RX business key priorities. Interpreting and communicating the RXUK strategy to the Buyer team and wider community to create buy-in and engagement Challenging the buyer team to align and connect their objectives to the overall RXUK business vision & strategy Driving the improvement of customer satisfaction in your portfolio year on year through focusing on value delivery and value capture 20% Buyer programme metrics capability and skillset Developing consistent drivers and metrics for the Buyer team and buyer offerings Developing a Buyer team training plan for RXUK Assessing resourcing levels and allocations to the 8 portfolios Reviewing Event Value plans for buyer team support Assessing each portfolio Buyer programme potential and assessing additional revenue opportunities Designing and building different buyer products to test in the market including VIP offerings, hosted and partly hosted offerings 20% Buyer Technology Development Influencing, communicating and implementing tools to support the delivery of buyer programmes Vendor management for buyer technologies (eventsair, sector etc.) Technology development and capability supporting the Martech team.
