Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, the Head of the Institute of Education will provide creative and effective academic and professional leadership and management for the Institute and its staff, ensuring excellence in learning and teaching, research and scholarship.
As a member of the University Leadership Group, you will work collaboratively across the University, encouraging and supporting interdisciplinary and cross departmental working.
Key focus areas:
Lead and inspire staff, promoting innovation, collaboration and high performance.Strengthen research activity and ensure readiness for Ofsted and other external reviews.Grow student recruitment and success through high‑quality programmes and an excellent student experience.Build strong partnerships with schools, MATs, early years providers and professional bodies.Contribute to University‑wide planning and strategic development(Interviews are to be held on the 26th or 27th of February)
