We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable colleague to join us on a permanent, full-time contract.
This exciting and varied role will have specific responsibility for delivering a high-quality admissions service for courses offered by the Three Counties Medical School. As part of our busy central Admissions department, you will work collaboratively with academic colleagues and other professional services departments, playing a key role in managing a timely, efficient and fair admissions process that delivers an excellent applicant experience.
As an Admissions Officer, you will process admissions decisions for a range of UK and international applications and take responsibility for processes such as data tasks and interview bookings. You will provide support and guidance to academic colleagues, applicants and enquirers throughout the application cycle. You’ll also have the chance to be involved in admissions processes for other course areas and to help with a range of other activities, including delivering staff training and representing the University at Open Days and recruitment Exhibitions.
The ideal candidate will be exceptionally well organised, with a high degree of self motivation, and have excellent customer service. You will bring effective decision making skills, with the ability to apply complex regulations with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in your work. You will be a strong team player, adaptable and have a proactive approach to problem solving. Our work is fast paced and high volume, so remaining calm and resilient will be key to success.
As part of the role there may be opportunities to support work in different areas of the department or the wider Communications, International and External Affairs division.
