An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Legal Services Section, providing a joint legal service to Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council for solicitor, barrister or legal executive with knowledge and experience of the law relating to Commercial Property matters, preferably gained in a Local Government environment.
Reporting to the Senior Lawyer in the Property and Contracts Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for advising on property matters, negotiating terms and drafting leases and associated property documentation, researching and analysing legislation, advising on its interpretation and providing proactive, creative and pragmatic advice to Officers and Members of the Councils.
We are looking for a positive, driven and innovative professional with excellent commercial and negotiation skills and the ability to give clear, practical, enabling legal advice.
