We have an exciting opportunity to join #TeamEMR as a Lead Service Delivery Manager at Eastcroft Depot, Nottingham.
As a Lead Service Delivery Manager, you will be directing and motivating your team to ensure EMR fleets are maintained, repaired, and cleaned in line with fleet performance requirements and maintenance goals. Through taking ownership of KPIs and improvement initiatives, you will also champion a clean, safe, and productive working environment that will motivate teams to deliver work on time and to quality and budget requirements.
Deputising for the Depot Manager this role is accountable for the development and maintenance of short and long term goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures in the depot.
Your key responsibilities include:
Lead and deliver production output according to the maintenance plan, ensuring safe, reliable trains are in service daily.Efficiently manage depot load/capacity plans, track resource deployment, and develop contingency and recovery plans for production, quality, productivity, or cost issues.Accountable for the depot’s QHSE activities, ensuring a visible focus on health, safety, and environmental performance at the depot, and manage quality and safety inspections, checks, and tours.Ensure compliance by developing and leading a culture aligned with EMR vision and values; oversee adherence to the Competency Management System for Production teams, ensuring competence plans align with depot load/capacity and addressing deficiencies.Lead, produce and create appropriate quality reports to enable coordination of information and action to the technical engineering team related to repeat defects, and fleet improvement initiatives using RCM, LEAN and six sigma toolsMonitor fleet performance, provide stakeholders with updates on incidents, failures, service risks, and safety-related defects, and liaise with on-call staff to minimise service disruption. Provide strategic recommendations to the depot manager and Head of Fleet Delivery & Planning on developing, implementing, and evaluating new or modified depot policies and procedures. Implement process improvements to meet KPIs and budgets using Continuous Improvement techniques.Lead, manage and oversee effective deployment of Reliability Specialists and manage local reliability for the Regional Fleet.What we are looking for:
Degree level qualification in Engineering with significant experience in a depot environmentLeadership qualifications to ILM min Level 4 or equivalent and experience of managing high performing teamsNEBOSH General certificate or equivalentSix Sigma/5S – Lean qualification desirableA NVQ supervisory/management qualification; or equivalent experience at supervisory or managerial levelExcellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to inspire and motivate others towards shared goalsA proven track record of managing and motivating a team and delivering KPI performance management in an engineering production environment, preferably in railIT literacy is essential, with the ability to use Microsoft Office to produce reports, trackers, and presentationsStrong understanding of financial matters and familiarity with contract administration is also requiredKnowledge in traction and rolling stock maintenance standards and techniques will be advantageous.
