The Role: Adding Value to a Complex Operation

As an M&E Technician at the Stourton Dairy, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational integrity of one of Arla's largest and most complex sites in the UK. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing crucial breakdown support across the 24/7 production facility, encompassing filling and packaging lines, chilling systems, and conveyors.
• Executing planned, preventative maintenance, and servicing activities as scheduled through the CMMS system.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing breakdowns using structured problem-solving techniques, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and enhancing operational efficiencies.
• Championing health and safety by adhering to all safety standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and actively participating in risk assessments.
• Supporting and contributing to both small and large-scale projects across the site, influencing site development and performance.

Key Considerations for Your Career Path:

This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is eager to expand their skillset. To be successful, you should possess:

• Experience: Proven experience in an FMCG, Food, or regulated manufacturing environment, ideally as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role.
• Technical Qualifications: You should ideally be time-served/apprentice trained and hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3/ONC or higher.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated experience in structured problem-solving, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and fault-finding techniques.
• Computer Literacy: Proficiency with CMMS systems (such as SAP PM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
