Arla Foods is seeking a dedicated and skilled M&E Technician to join their dynamic dairy engineering team at the Oakthorpe site. Key Responsibilities & Your Impact:

As an M&E Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dairy production site. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and corrective maintenance on a range of critical site services, including industrial steam boilers, waste heat boilers, refrigeration plants, DAF plants, hot & cold water systems, heat exchangers, cooling towers, and HVAC systems.
  • Conducting thorough equipment and plant condition appraisals.
  • Collaborating effectively with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) during service interventions.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and challenge existing processes and practices.
  • Adhering to relevant Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) compliance standards, such as Legionella, fire safety, PSSR, and LOTO procedures.
  • Authorising permits and ensuring all work is conducted in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Providing essential weekend shift cover (approximately 1 in 4 weekends) to support production needs.

  • A Level 3 NVQ or recognised engineering qualification.

  • A positive, resilient, and proactive approach to problem-solving, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Previous work experience within Hard FM and similar site service environments.
  • Experience in HV/LV systems would be a significant advantage.
