Become an Maintenance Technician At our Advanced Blade Casting Facility (ABCF), we produce critical turbine blades for our world-leading jet engines. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you'll work alongside Manufacturing Service Engineers and Leaders to maintain, repair, and optimize machinery and equipment across the facility. Key Responsibilities: Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of high-tech manufacturing equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation issues to minimize downtime. Use precision diagnostic instruments, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals to resolve faults efficiently. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and reliability. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Required Experience: We’re looking for candidates with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance, ideally working with electrical and mechanical systems in a high-tech environment. Either way, you’ll be someone who is used to dealing with high-tech machinery and is eager to learn. Is this role for you? Yes, if you: Have 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance. Have a solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings. Have completed an advanced-level apprenticeship with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. Are comfortable using computers and digital maintenance tools. Understand HSE standards and regulations and ensure compliance. Work well as part of a team and adapt to new challenges. The role requires shift work in 12-hour shifts. You will be expected to work on a rotating pattern covering days and nights.
