This role exists to provide specialist technical support on complex network security and cyber security deployments for any and all of our UK secure contracts. Building intermate working relationships and trust through effective communication and meeting expectation and deadlines is key. Liaising with customer representatives or vendors and directing other support staff where appropriate will form part of the role.

Additionally, the support of new products and services is an important part of keeping pace with the industry and customer requirements and allows BT to maintain market position as key supplier of services. The role holder will therefore be expected to provide support in this area, working with confidence and initiative and applying excellent self-management in order to promote successful outcomes.

You'll have the following responsibilities

Provide leadership on Agile / ITIL processes and be a decision maker within the security team; Advising those who will be working directly with yourself on best practices and able to support from a 3rd Line Lead perspective. Develop peers and colleagues within the team through mentoring and leadership providing trustworthy honest feedback. Produce and support polices, functions and configuration builds to allow implementation of customer projects. Complete and own integration testing on new products and services, producing all relevant supporting documentation. Ensure full awareness of the need to safeguard sensitive customer information at all times, so that customers perceive BT to be a trustworthy organisation. Develop a strong technical knowledge of our products and services Work directly with Security Optimisation Manager and Network Security Operations Manager to structure, support and develop the team.

A Secure Networks and Cyber Security Lead Specialist would be a main supporting pillar for the team structure, reporting into the Security Operations Manager and liaising directly with the Security Optimisation Manager the Lead Specialist will own the responsibility of supporting day to day security Operations.

You'll need to have the following skills and experience
External Professional Certification in Security Related discipline e.g. Fortinet NSE 4 & 5, Cisco CCNP, Checkpoint CCSE or Palo Alto PCNSE; covering some of the following key technologies Fortinet Cisco ASA & FirePower Cisco ISE F5 Palo Alto Zscaler CheckPoint NetScaler Python Go Bash Native Cloud Security Linux/Unix OS Windows OS

Rapid prototyping and testing potential solutions and understanding how to run lean and iterate continuously. Design user journeys, service maps, documentation, user flows and wireframes Collaborate with Product and Engineering colleagues. Facilitate workshops and design sprints. Skilled in building strong relationships across multiple teams, Experience in agile, lean, evidence-based and human-centred design frameworks. Able to simplify complex ideas and communicate them clearly. High attention to detail. Thrive in a fast-paced environment. Team player – Works well in a team leader role.
