Then join the University of East London’s People & Culture Directorate as a People Systems Specialist (Analyst) on a 12-month fixed term contract.
As a People Systems Specialist (Analyst) you’ll be a key contributor to the design, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of system and process solutions that comply with UK legislation, meet business requirements, and align to the overall UEL strategy. A significant focus of the role will be supporting the implementation of new enterprise systems, such as Finance and Research systems. Experience in payroll and finance system integration is a must have.
Day-to-day, you’ll lead on ensuring our P&C systems work effectively and collaborate with key teams like Finance, IT, and external suppliers to maintain and improve system functionality for our people. We’ll also rely on you to act as a subject matter expert for people systems, including configuration, APIs and data mapping, workflows, access management, bug fixes and query resolution
You'll provide advice and guidance on the best practice use of the HR systems and identifying solutions to any problem that arise will be an important aspect of the role too. And, when it comes to overseeing data entry, cleansing, import, and export using system tools and data reconciliation to ensure all data held is accurate and up to date, again, we’ll count on you.
To succeed, you’ll need a proven relevant background with iTrent experience, strong analytical and business process knowledge, and excellent attention to detail. You’ll also need a demonstrable ability to work cross functionally/divisionally with other staff and deliver on continuous improvement projects within an agreed timeframe and be used to working without close supervision. If you have automation and system configuration system integration (APIs) experience and/or familiarity with of system implementations and data migration projects, even better, although these aren’t must haves.
