The BT group operates a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
The Product Manager – Sovereign Voice will lead the development and evolution of BT’s sovereign voice offerings, ensuring they meet UK-specific regulatory, security, and data residency requirements.
This role is pivotal in shaping BT’s position as a trusted provider of sovereign digital infrastructure, delivering scalable solutions for public sector, regulated industries, and enterprise customers.
Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for Sovereign Voice, ensuring alignment with BT’s Sovereign Platform and UK sovereignty requirements.
Develop and maintain an operating and cost model that balances compliance-driven investment with profitability and competitive positioning.
Drive growth across public sector and regulated industries through tailored propositions, government frameworks, and strategic partnerships.
Work with engineering, propositions, sales, marketing, legal, and customer success teams to deliver roadmap priorities using Agile methodologies.
Enhance the digital experience for sovereign voice services (provisioning, portals, support) and establish in-life performance tracking through data tools and dashboards.
Act as the subject matter expert on sovereignty within the voice domain, monitor regulatory and market trends, and build external partnerships to support BT’s sovereign ecosystem.
Proven experience working with UK public sector or regulated industries, with a solid understanding of compliance, governance, and sovereignty requirements such as data residency and UK public sector frameworks.
Proven experience in product management, including defining strategy and roadmaps, and delivering outcomes ideally with some experience using Agile methodologies.
Strong commercial acumen with expertise in cost modelling, pricing strategies, and profitability optimisation, supported by data-driven decision-making and OKRs.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders and partners.
Technical fluency to translate business needs into requirements and collaborate effectively with engineering teams; knowledge of voice, cloud, or security environments is advantageous.
Ability to build strategic partnerships and navigate complex ecosystems, ideally with exposure to sovereign or secure cloud/voice solutions.
