We are looking for a pro-active and motivated individual to join the Faculty of Engineering & Design’s Courses and Assessment Support Team (CAST) as a Programmes Administrator. The successful candidate will join our dedicated team and play a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient administration of the Faculty of Engineering & Design’s taught degree programmes. Working closely with both professional services and academic colleagues, you’ll help ensure an excellent experience for our students.
As part of a small, collaborative team, flexibility and teamwork are key. Your main focus will be on assessment-related processes throughout the academic and student lifecycle, but you’ll also provide day-to-day administrative support for teaching, assessment, and student data management.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining accurate student records on the University’s database.Supporting Directors of Studies and liaising with external examiners.Responding to enquiries from students and academic staff.Assisting with core assessment and progression activities across departments during peak periods.If you’re organised, adaptable, and enjoy working in a supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Experience in the use of university-specific software (e.g. Moodle, SAMIS/SITS and Business Objects) is desirable, though not essential, since training will be provided. Most important is an interest in our work, a willingness to become fully involved in both team business, and the life of the faculty and its departments.
This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) open ended basis from April 2026

We are currently operating a hybrid work model, so there would be the opportunity to work from home if desired, with a three day per week minimum on campus requirement. One of the on-campus working days must be a Wednesday.
