Job Description Quality Manager - Logistics Ensuring there is coordination between MRO and OE, lead the development and deployment (in Rolls-Royce and its 3PL) of a Quality strategy for Logistics embracing such topics as shelf life, preservation, the prevention of damage during transportation and the reduction of escapes during the warehousing and provision of spare parts. Establish and lead the standard for problem resolution relating to Logistics activities, where appropriate, ensuring they are of a sufficient standard to support legal resolution of claims. Where necessary, develop constructive relationships with tooling suppliers and customers so that root causes can be uncovered and corrective actions efficiently implemented. Identify and lead opportunities for the reduction of inventory in our warehouses, releasing value and space. Lead the professional development and competence of the Quality Engineers that support the role, especially with regard to legal and regulatory knowledge. Ensure there are accurate, regularly updated and meaningful KPIs for the Quality performance of our Logistics activities and that they are reviewed in an appropriately attended governance structure which captures recovery actions when necessary. Ensure Supplier Scorecards and Supplier Maturity Assessments are maintained. Ensure the processes we operate to in Logistics are up to date in ARIS, reflecting legal and regulatory limits and best practice for the business so that Right First Time performance can be achieved. Lead the collective identification, sentencing and mitigation of risks associated with Logistics.
