The Board of Governors is seeking a Co-opted Member of its Remuneration Committee.
The University’s Remuneration Committee is responsible, on behalf of the Board of Governors, for overseeing matters relating to the remuneration of the University’s most senior staff, alongside considering and maintaining an awareness of significant general issues relating to the reward offering for all staff. It normally meets three times each financial year (October, February, June), in-person at either our Brayford or Riseholme campuses.
We want candidates who demonstrate a real interest in and enthusiasm for the development of Lincoln as a leading 21st century University, and a commitment to its staff and students and its institutional reputation. Candidates will have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and senior experience in people and remuneration matters.
If you’re excited and interested by this opportunity then we’d like to hear from you. You should submit your CV and to provide a covering letter setting out, with reference to the role descriptor, how your own skills, experience and personal qualities relate to what the University is seeking. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet with the Chair of the Remuneration Committee and other members, and a decision subsequently made as to a preferred candidate.
This is a voluntary unpaid role. All reasonable travel and subsistence expenses incurred on University business will be reimbursed.
If you have any questions or you’re enthused but not sure if you’re right for the role, please contact Aaron Smith, Secretary to the Board of Governors, via governors@lincoln.ac.uk in the first instance.
