  • Comprehensive Deal Involvement: From application to underwriting submission, you'll own all activities. Your role extends to assisting with portfolio management audits, reviews, and performance reporting, as well as contributing to residential real estate projects and technical developments, offering exposure to diverse aspects of the business.
  • Leadership & Orchestration: This position requires you to independently exert leadership and effectively orchestrate your assigned portion of the mortgage process. You'll function as a key member of a deal team, demonstrating strong initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Deep Dive into Financials: You will gain extensive experience in understanding and interpreting complex financials for credit assessment and in comprehending complex mortgage structuring, significantly advancing your analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Regulatory Acumen: With a strong emphasis on understanding all aspects of loan programs, internal and external guidelines, and regulations, you will develop a robust knowledge base in mortgage compliance.
  • Ethical Foundation: A core aspect of this role is the commitment to assessing risk appropriately while safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. You will drive compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, adhere to policy, and apply sound ethical judgment in all your dealings.

Key Considerations for Prospective Candidates:

  • Educational & Professional Foundations: A Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience is required. Crucially, being CeMAP qualified (or holding an equivalent qualification) is essential.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Strong mortgage regulatory knowledge and proven experience within the UK market, with EU experience being a distinct advantage, are critical.
  • Analytical & Execution Prowess: Demonstrable strong and proven analytical, financial structuring, and execution skills are non-negotiable. Experience with regulatory internal and external audits will be highly beneficial.
