Retail Assistant (Sales) Purpose of role: To provide a customer experience that consistently delivers everything our  customers are looking for including a great store environment and an amazing customer experience Reports to: A member of the Store Management Team

Overview of Key Responsibilities • Provide all customers with an amazing customer experience by engaging with them on their  shopping journey and giving a lasting positive experience • Provide a great store environment and keep your area looking great for customers throughout the  day by maintaining, tidying, and filling your area whilst at the same time acknowledging and  assisting customers • Deliver a fast, friendly, and efficient shopping experience at the till points including processing  queries, voids and returns • Gather feedback from our customers by asking them to fill in our customer survey • In conjunction with your Line Manager, improve stock availability by identifying order requirements  from your first-hand knowledge of your area and the customers needs, to offer our customers a  great range of products and sizes at all times • Deliver a seamless customer experience in our fitting rooms by maintaining the fitting room  standards and providing size and style assistance when asked • Prepare and organise returns at every touchpoint throughout the store • Deliver a high level of presentation of our products and create visually exciting store environments  through Visual Merchandising displays and replacing products as required  • Make sure stock is correctly priced and that pricing activities are carried out in a timely way  including making sure that price changes and correct tickets are displayed • Keep a tidy and well organised stockroom to allow better visibility of our stock and equipment  making everyones jobs easier and promoting a safe working environment • Complete duties associated with stockroom organisation including delivery receipting, unpacking  and checking off new deliveries and bringing stock from and returning stock to the stockroom as  required • Carry out stock handling duties including counts, transfers, and managing soiled and damaged  goods • Participate in the in-store communication cascade by listening, giving ideas and getting involved. • Carry out stock-take duties as assigned by your Team Lead/Manager • Be aware of the protection of people, property and premises and report any issues as appropriate • Promote a safe working environment by being aware of the Primark Health and Safety Vision and  be responsible for your own safety and that of colleagues, contractors, and customers while at  work • Be aware and proactively mitigate and manage possible hazards across areas of the store  through use of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW). • Use any tools provided by Primark in the correct and safe way to ensure your safety and the  safety of others • Ensure all waste is managed and disposed of as per Primark guidelines and processes • Communicate and promote Primarks ethical, environmental, and charitable initiative ‘Primark  Cares • Other duties as may be required from time to time by your Management Team Skills & Experience August 2022

• Strong communication skills and use of English/local language • Previous experience ideally within a retail environment is an advantage • Previous experience of working in a busy environment as part of a team • Desire to provide a great customer experience • Interest in fashion and trends • Flexible and willing to learn • Honesty and Integrity • Positive, proactive and self-motivated

Key Qualifications and Skills

Customer Service Orientation: A genuine passion for helping customers and creating a positive shopping experience is essential. You should be friendly, approachable, and able to handle customer inquiries effectively. Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills are necessary to interact with customers and team members. You should be able to listen actively and share ideas clearly. Attention to Detail: Being organised and detail-oriented is important for maintaining store standards, such as keeping shelves stocked and ensuring the store is visually appealingTeam Player: You should be able to work collaboratively with others, contributing to a positive team environment and supporting your colleagues when needed. Interest in Fashion: A keen interest in the latest fashion trends and styles is beneficial, as it helps you engage with customers and provide informed recommendations. Motivation and Willingness to Learn: High levels of motivation and a positive attitude are important, along with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
