The Role
You are expected to supervise, monitor and handle day to day operations of security in the University to ensure effective and consistent enforcement in protecting the property/asset against theft/loss/malicious/vandalism damage and the safety of staffs, students and visitors of NUMed in accordance with the established security policy/standard/procedure.

Key Responsibilities
This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks/duties:
Assist Security Manager to manage and implement physical, operational, and technological security to provide a safe and secure environment in NUMed Campus Monitor, supervise and handle day to day security operations by conducting daily patrol and periodic surveillance of common areas and to spot check at isolated areas on campus to prevent illegal intrusion and activities Assist Security Manger to conduct investigation on theft, break-ins, and incidents on campus, students’ accommodation and NUMed managed clinic (PCC) and take an immediate remedial action as and whenappropriate as temporary solution To assist in conducting periodic fire drills, chemical spill drill and weekly fire alarm testing to ensure all firefighting and detection system are functioning in order To assist Security Manager and Senior Accommodation Manager in implementing all security and safety related issues and procedures in student accommodation and ensure students safety and needs are takengood care Having a good rapport and collaboration with authorities such as PDRM, BOMBA, National Security Council (NSC@MKN), Iskandar Puteri Berhad (IIB) Edu City security partners and Outsource Security service provider in ensuring a safe and secure working and study environment in Edu City compound
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in security administrative works Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures Well verse with Microsoft Office (Excel / Word/power point) Experienced and agree to work on shift covering 24/7 Experience in incident reporting and emergency response planning (Desirable) Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills (Desirable) Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV, Fire alarm system, card access system) (Desirable)
