We’re looking for a Security Systems Support Specialist to help us maintain and enhance our electronic security systems across the business — including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and integrated platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding Centrica physical assets by providing technical support and contributing to the continuous improvement of our security infrastructure. What You’ll Be Doing: Supporting the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our electronic security systems. Providing technical support to ensure the safety and security of our physical assets. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement improvements. Applying your knowledge of security principles and IT systems to deliver effective solutions. What You’ll Be Responsible For: Identifying and resolving technical issues related to security systems, including hardware, software, and network connectivity. Assisting in the design, deployment, and integration of new security systems and technologies. Acting as a liaison between Security Management, project managers, vendors, and business units to support access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV queries. Responding to security incidents and assisting in investigations to identify root causes. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices. Supporting governance of access control, particularly in restricted areas, in line with Centrica standards. Producing clear and accurate reports on system performance for audit, compliance, and risk management. Working with the Security Systems Manager, Global Operations Centre (GOC), and contractors to manage systems and follow up on remedial actions. Participating in post-incident reviews and debriefs to support continuous improvement. Here what we’re looking for: We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. Ideally you can bring the following: A working knowledge of security systems, in particular C•Cure 9000 access control system, CCTV platforms, and intrusion detection systems would be desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. Comfortable working with IT systems and digital tools. A team player who communicates clearly and works well with others.
