Key Responsibilities and Your Impact:

As the EI Technical Support Manager, you will be the central point of expertise for branches, providing critical support across EI and MOD systems. Your role will be instrumental in:

  • Driving Portfolio Reliability: Lead initiatives to enhance the reliability of our product portfolio through collaborative support to branches.
  • Expert Technical Guidance: Serve as the go-to expert for the sales force and service leaders, offering in-depth technical support for complex EI and MOD projects.
  • Customer Engagement: Support sales and service teams in technical discussions with customers, ensuring clarity and confidence.
  • Project Acumen: Conduct on-site measurements and meticulously evaluate specifications for intricate tenders and contracts.
  • Information Flow Management: Liaise effectively with MDCs to ensure seamless information exchange, facilitating successful project offers.
  • Training and Development: Contribute vital inputs to the Training Control System, monitoring the Annual Plan and analysing the effectiveness of technical training.
  • Product Lifecycle Support: Participate in 0-series field installations, evaluating processes and tools to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support Group-run reliability projects and assist branches in optimising processes for underperforming units.
  • Issue Resolution: Address complex technical issues with Area Technicians, providing constructive feedback to the Group, and intervening on-site for specialised technical challenges.

  • Proven expertise in EI/MOD environments and familiarity with third-party equipment.
  • Proficiency in fault finding, diagnosis, and technical report writing.
  • Certification in Schindler technical disciplines is highly desirable, ideally as a Schindler Master Instructor.
  • An NVQ4 qualification is considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with safety SIS systems and processes, including NGFE training for safety assessments.
  • Willingness to undertake extensive travel, often at short notice, including international travel for training.
