Claims Specialist - Wholesale Professional Indemnity – Design & Construction & PI

What the day will look like

 

In this exciting role, you will be primarily responsible for the management, strategy and process for the notification, agreement, collection and successful settlement of a portfolio of Financial Lines claims. Your key responsibilities will include:

First notification of loss for Design and Construction PI claimsNegotiation and liaison with markets, clients, placement teams, specialists, network offices, underwriters and appointed authorities (loss adjusters, lawyers etc).Conduct data analysis to establish the claims history for a particular client or business portfolio, and to identify trends and patterns in claims for a client or business segmentNegotiate the payment and settlement of claims with clients and underwritersCoordinate discussions and, where appropriate, meetings to ensure superior level of communication between the client, underwriter and their representatives concerning the proposed settlement.Engage with the Head of Professional lines Advocacy in the strategy to conclude contentious claimsDaily use of ECF with market and client facing claims advocacy Working as part of the team and autonomously Office attendance minimum two days per weekOpportunity to work on other PI lines of business, including Architects, Engineers, Brokers E & O, law firms

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Detailed experience in handling claims for national and international design and construction firms, including architects and engineers, sub contractors etc.This role will include both client and market facing requirements and organising, co participating in person and team meetingsPrevious experience interacting with senior client stakeholders and risk manager would be advantageousHandling single project specific, annual and binding facility placementsKnowledge of Professional Indemnity Claims and confidence to coordinate and initiate discussions with our networks, clients, underwriters and expertsExperience of the CLASS and ECF Processing system (preferable)Proficient in word and excelStrong Interpersonal skills
