What This Role Entails:
As a Senior Transversals Engineer, your responsibilities will be broad and impactful, covering a wide array of critical platform aspects. You will be instrumental in:
- Managing and controlling whole boat hazards and damage hazards, ensuring the utmost safety and integrity.
- Addressing critical environmental factors such as airborne noise, internal and external operating environments.
- Overseeing aspects like design life, shock resistance, externally generated vibration, materials, coatings, corrosion, and containment strategies.
- Defining requirements and providing design control and steering to ensure integrated solutions.
- Integrating and influencing individual system designs from a transversals perspective, ensuring a holistic approach.
- Developing and implementing innovative ways of working within the Joint Design Authority (JDA) to effectively manage transversal-related risks and achieve optimal platform performance.
- Exercising Joint Design Authority responsibilities as a Safety Delegated Engineer, steering, controlling, and assuring the platform design integration.
