• Qualifications and Training: While a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship qualification (e.g., C&G or EAL NVQ Level 3/4, OAL FDEM Diploma) is essential, candidates should be prepared to undertake further training within their first year. This includes the IET Wiring Regulations, a Level 2 Food Safety Qualification, CMMS training, and contractor control requirements, with a view to developing multi-skilled capability with an electrical bias.
• Essential Skills and Experience: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills are vital. A good understanding of Safety, Health, and Environmental procedures, along with experience in fault finding, planning maintenance, using IT systems, and following SOPs, is a prerequisite.
