The Opportunity: A Hands-On Role with Impact

This is a critical, hands-on position where you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of Etex's facilities. Your primary responsibility will be the meticulous maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of vital equipment, directly contributing to operational efficiency and safety standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Minimizing Downtime: Proactively undertake reactive mechanical maintenance to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Problem Solving: Accurately diagnose and resolve mechanical faults, with the ability to escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Driving Improvement: Contribute to equipment improvement projects and actively participate in root cause analysis (RCA) activities to prevent future issues.
  • Data Management: Maintain precise records within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and update documentation as required.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with production, quality, and engineering teams to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • A solid educational foundation, evidenced by an Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering, or an HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, coupled with a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, shift-based team environment, with an unwavering commitment to health and safety.
