Student Success Development Officers provide specialist operational support to the Student Success Team, as part of the Student Life Directorate, contributing to the University’s Access & Participation Plan (APP) and broad Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) agenda.
The role holder will lead and embed social and educational initiatives across academic schools, resulting in improvements to undergraduate students’ sense of belonging, continuation, completion and academic attainment, with a specific focus on improving outcomes for students from minoritised groups.
Please note that there are both fixed term for 12 months, 6 months and ongoing contracts for this post. Please indicate your preference within the application form.
As Student Success Development Officer you can expect to be involved in:
Developing, delivering and evaluating initiatives to promote a stronger sense of belonging, and to optimise engagement and academic outcomes for students across the universityFacilitating discussions on sensitive equality issues, such as race, discrimination and bias across the university in collaboration with staff in the Directorate and academic schools, to promote inclusive practices.Supporting the effective monitoring and evaluation of initiatives and make recommendations for development to achieve maximum impact.What will you bring to the role?
