Teaching Associate in Comparative Politics (fixed term) (SOC

Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Associate in Comparative Politics within the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham. The successful candidate should have expertise pertaining to comparative politics, including an ability to lead a module related to the gender and representation for final year undergraduates. We also welcome applications from candidates with expertise pertaining to European politics, democratic institutions and/or methods in comparative politics.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead and deliver high quality lectures and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate students on core and optional modules, including team-taught modules, and to conduct assessments of student work at all levels. 

The post is offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), fixed term contract from 6th January 2025 to 31st January 2026.

The successful candidate must have a PhD in Politics/International Relations or a closely related subject. For further information about the post, including the criteria that will be used when shortlisting, please see the role profile.
