We are looking to recruit to the post of Debt Recovery Officer, the post is responsible for invoices and collection on monies due for council services.
This role provides a great chance to be part of a fast-growing team who deals with recovery of council rents, sundry debts, housing benefit overpayments and council tax.
The role involves speaking to customers over the phone, making affordable repayment arrangements, dealing with correspondence and data input.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to process high volumes of work with speed and accuracy and is able to work under pressure to achieve targets.
You must be able to respond to queries from customers both internal and external by phone and email and provide cover for other teams within the service.
You’re a friendly and confident individual with excellent organisation and IT skills Works well as a team player and has great communication skills.
Knowledge of dealing with vulnerable customers in a sensitive manner is essential to this role.
