Job title: Terminal Coordinator Location: Felixstowe Position Type: Full-time Hours of work: 45 hours per week, 7am - 4pm /10am - 7pm The role As a Terminal Coordinator you will be responsible for dealing with incoming and outgoing customer service requests, including but not limited to; depot related queries and shunt planning and delivery. Key responsibilities Handling all customer queries, including communications with shipping lines and customer claims. Handling of container releases and acceptance information flows. Input data to all relevant operations systems: TOPS, iPro. VBS and Gate Management Systems (GMS) exception management. Liaising with Terminal MSOs to plan Reefer settings and Genset releases. Input shunt details into TOPS. Planning stack allocations for delivery and collections. Plan & issue shunts to ensure all containers moved within relevant time frame Controlling internal tug access within the Gate Management System / VBS for both Freightliner and external bodies ensuring all shunts are completed as per plan. Liaise with senior managers to plan VBS slots and to action their instructions. Plan and book VBS for both Pentalver and Port movements ensuring no missed bookings. About you Previous experience in a similar role within shipping lines, port operations, haulage and /or container handling operations. Attention to detail. Strong team player. Demonstrate a strong customer service focus. Ideally have the knowledge of container ISO standards. Please be advised that successful appointments are subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
