About the Role:

Are you a dedicated and skilled engineer, or on your way to be an engineer, looking to make a significant impact in your community? Join our Traffic Management Team and contribute to the design and implementation of traffic management and parking schemes. As an Engineer, you will provide specialist technical expertise and coordinate various projects from initial investigation to implementation, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and time requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigate, design, and deliver traffic management and parking schemes, including feasibility studies and data analysis.Oversee project delivery, monitor progress, and manage contractor relationships.Conduct consultations and liaise with external bodies and the public.Coordinate work with outside agencies to align with other workstreams.Provide technical advice and mentor less experienced team members.Develop and implement physical engineering works processes.Collect and manage data for consultation, legal proceedings, or analysis.Produce technical reports and presentations.Support the management team in delivering the Team Plan.Supervise staff and external contractors.Maintain the ParkMap database for Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs).Review traffic management issues and provide fact-based recommendations.Deputise for the Senior Engineer when required.
