Job Description Maintenance Optimisation and Management – Technical Lead Full Time Derby /Hybrid As the Maintenance Optimisation and Management – Technical Lead, you will be working in the Engineering for Services capability group, supporting strategic, tactical and people projects across our Submarines business, interacting with wider RR Group and external industry partners. This role will focus on containing disruption, cost and issues in service, in line with contracted and business requirements, by ensuring optimisation of planned and instructed maintenance activity - through; Knowledge in the field of predictive maintenance and the generation, optimisation & implementation of Maintenance Policies, inspection requirements, acceptance criteria and associated technical instructions for on-and-off platform. Knowledge in relevant industry mandated rules and procedures and relevant methods to define and manage service maintenance policies. Why Rolls-Royce? What you will be doing With this role you will have the opportunity to: Recognised as an authoritative source of technical knowledge and advice in the Submarines Business and viewed as a member of the broader team across RR Group. Develop depth and/or breadth of knowledge in preventative and predictive maintenance, both internally and across industry. Generate business benefits through the application of technical knowledge within your immediate area of expertise. Support the “run and maintain” activity of a business, taking an active role in resolving current problems. Support teams to advance knowledge in this capability area. Within your area of accountability, you will: • Support the development and execution of the Maintenance Optimisation and Management strategy • Lead the definition and execution of capability projects including capturing requirements, creating proposals, achieving stakeholder approval, acquiring funding and aligning partner support • Lead the resolution of new and emerging technical, compliance and business problems using analytical processes and professional judgement • Provide technical direction to peers and more junior professionals • Supports the definition of skill and professional knowledge within their area of Maintenance Optimisation and Management; identify, co-ordinate and deliver training; supports the development of others; provide active mentoring • Ensures appropriate policies, standards and best practices are defined, shared and adopted • Lead the sharing of Best Practice; represent the area as an authority in your defined subject; provides concise justification for decisions; records and captures salient information in reports and systems Who we’re looking for: At Rolls-Royce we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference.
