The schools finance team are recruiting an Accountancy Assistant to deliver a wide range of financial services and advice to our schools, including budget planning, the schools’ forum, and senior officers within the Council. As a key role within the team, the Accountancy Assistant position provides an opportunity for someone to gain experience whilst making a real difference to our educational offer for the young people in our community, during a challenging financial climate.

The team has a strong development culture and forms part of the wider finance service which covers budgets of over £1bn. Supporting a community with over 350,000 residents, 600 services and a workforce of over 12,000 including over 100 maintained schools.
