How youâll help us make health happen As our Actuarial Modelling Analyst you'll help support the design, build and embedding of the Actuarial Transformation Programme to deliver the Data, Actuarial modelling Foundation and Commercial analytics pillars, through the use of Psicle. Accountabilities & activities: Model Building & Insights on claims and policy information: Create impactful models and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders in the actuarial community. Trend Insights & Forecasting: Utilize our cutting-edge Snowflake data platform to uncover trends and support forecasting. Trend Identification: Process to identify new trends and changes in data to enhance reserving accuracy and understanding. Automate Processes: Streamline processes using SQL, Python, Power BI, and other tools. Monitor Models: Ensure the reliability and performance of models through effective monitoring. Handle Large Data Sets: Work with both structured and unstructured data to derive insights. Collaborate with Engineers: Partner with data engineers to define requirements for model builds and data feeds. Innovate & Challenge Norms: Lead best practices and challenge existing processes to drive innovation. Support & Train Team: Help your colleagues get the most out of our new data platform and embed new processes into everyday work. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Curiosity & Business Understanding: A keen interest to understand the business BUPA is involved in. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to understand Actuarial stakeholder issues and deliver effective solutions. Strong Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to identify and address issues early. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. Team Player: Supportive of upskilling colleagues and open to constructive feedback. Insurance Knowledge: Background or understanding of the insurance industry. Actuarial Concepts: Familiarity with key actuarial concepts.
