Apprenticeships play a key part in the University’s 2030 strategy ‘Education without Boundaries’, and we have ambitious plans to grow our apprenticeship provision across all faculties. This is a senior role within the Directorate of Employability and Apprenticeships, where you will principally lead operations of the apprenticeship team at the University of Greenwich to ensure an effective and compliant apprenticeship provision. This role is part of the Apprenticeship Hub, part of a broader team that is the Directorate of Employability and Apprenticeships.
We are looking for an individual who has significant experience in: leading all aspects of compliance and operations for an apprenticeship provision within a higher education institute, demonstrable leadership, team and project management skills, with expert knowledge and understanding of funding regulations and requirements, compliance and quality assurance processes, with experience of leading an ESFA audit, and supporting external quality assurance monitoring inspections from the Office for Students. Excellent communication skills with the ability to be an agile thinker and confident decision-maker are integral to this role. The successful candidate will join us at a pivotal time of our provision’s development as we prepare for the launch of our learner management system, APTEM.
Our apprenticeship delivery takes place at all 3 of our university campuses - Avery Hill, Medway, and Greenwich, and we would expect the successful candidate to show presence at every campus. There is a minimum requirement of 2 days a week working onsite, with the pre-dominant campus for this role being Greenwich.
