Applicants are sought for the position of Assessment and Awards Administrator. Reporting to the Assessment and Awards Manager this fixed term position will work as part of the team that has operational oversight of systems and processes related to student assessment and award. The work of the team includes developing exam schedules and administering all operational aspects of in-person examinations and exam boards. The team also oversees the administration of outcomes across UG and PGT, including production and distribution of degree certificates, transcripts, and associated documents for graduates and alumni of the University.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment, manging a busy and varied workload. They will be an excellent communicator and problem solver and able to schedule and prioritise work effectively.
This full-time role will be appointed on a fixed term basis through until 31/12/2026. Internal candidates who wish to apply for this job as a secondment should express this in their covering letter and have their line manager’s approval.
As this role undertakes the administration of in person exams there is an requirement for staff to work on campus full-time during the assessment periods (usually April - June and late August) at other points in the year the role can be undertaken in a hybrid way with working both on campus and remotely. The role can also be undertaken being based on campus full-time throughout the year.
